Citation: Woman enters stranger’s home and demands dog

GLASGOW, Ky. – Glasgow police were called to 507 Columbia Ave. Tuesday night after a man said a woman he didn’t know came through the door and demanded her dog.

He didn’t have her dog.

When police arrived, the home’s occupant came outside yelling and pointing at Mary Colvin, 55, who was staggering across the street toward Reed Avenue, according to her arrest citation.

Colvin told police she was looking for her dog. She at first said she lived in Lucas, Ky. and later said she was homeless.

When police attempted to take her into custody they said she became belligerent and kicked an officer, according to her citation. She is also accused of threatening the life of the home’s occupant and kicking the windows of teh police cruiser once she was in custody.

She was charged with with alcohol intoxication in a public place, resisting arrest, third-degree assault of a police officer, second-degree burglary, third-degree terroristic threatening, illegal possession of a legend drug and prescription drug not in proper container. She is being held in the Barren County Detention Center.

Barren District Judge Gabe Pendleton set her bond at $2,500.
