Christian County man accused of fleeing Logan County authorities, arrested on drug charges

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – A Christian County man is charged with drug possession following a pursuit that began in Logan County.

According to a uniform citation, the Hopkinsville Police Department (HPD) was contacted by the Logan County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) regarding a pursuit that began in Logan County. LCSO told HPD that they believed the operator and the vehicle were in Hopkinsville.

Officers say they had prior knowledge of the vehicle and located it in the backyard of a residence on Wildwood Drive. Officers say the vehicle was in the backyard and 28-year-old Jacorion Murray, of Hopkinsville, was standing next to it.

During the investigation, officers located 275 grams of suspected methamphetamine and 15 grams of suspected marijuana, according to the citation.

Murray was arrested and lodged at the Christian County Detention Center. He is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (> or more = 2 grams of methamphetamine) and possession of marijuana.

The investigation is ongoing.
