Chatfield transfers to Washington State WBB
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Thursday night, former Lady Topper basketball guard Mackenzie Chatfield announced that she is transferring to play for the Washington State University Cougars in the West Coast Conference.
The New Zealand native spent the first two years of her college career playing under head coach Greg Collins, and Chatfield saw her role for the Lady Toppers ramp up this past season.
In 31 games, Chatfield saw eight starts, where she was able to average 5.8 points and 2.4 assists per game.
She also was a force on the defensive end for the Lady Toppers, tallying 1.3 steals per game for the number one team in Conference USA in the turnover margin category (6.03).
Now with a couple years left of eligibility, Chatfield will transition from Western Kentucky to the west coast.
