Caveland Marketing Association, members earn awards at statewide tourism conference

EDMONSON COUNTY, Ky. – The Caveland Marketing Association has announced it has joined its members in earning 23 awards at the Traverse Awards for Excellence in Kentucky Tourism Marketing.
According to a release by the Caveland Marketing Association, the Traverse Awards “honor exceptional talent, creativity and effectiveness in tourism marketing.”
The following list includes all winners:
Bronze

Gold
- Destination management: Cave City Tourism – “Guntown Mountain: Not a Ghost Town Anymore.”
- This was the second highest honor in the show, according to the release.
- The entry involved turning a longtime closed attraction into a Western movie set for a $9 million Lionsgate film production that filmed in the area earlier this year. The release says this created over $3 million in economic impact.
