Case against former BGJHS baseball coach to be heard by a grand jury
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Junior High School baseball coach accused of sending sexually explicit images to an undercover detective posing as a child waived his right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday in Warren District Court.
The case will now be heard by an upcoming Warren County grand jury.
Lavance Anderson, 28, is charged with one count of prohibited use of an electronic communication system to procure a minor to engage in a sexual offense or other prohibited activity.
According to the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office, Anderson admitted to communicating with a person he believed to be a minor about sex acts and admitted to using the internet to send sexually explicit images to the undercover detective.
Anderson was scheduled to have a preliminary hearing Wednesday morning but when brought into court from the Warren County Regional Jail, he waived his right to hear the evidence against him in a preliminary hearing.
The case against Anderson will be presented to a Warren County grand jury within the next 60 days.
