Career fair at Allen County-Scottsville High School

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – School administration gave kids yet another opportunity to gain some real world experience and give them a leg up.

Several local businesses, law enforcement agencies and first responder groups showed up to the Allen County-Scottsville Gym to talk to students about what they do on a day to day basis and try to help them get a game plan together.

Guidance counselor and fair organizer Misty Rather said showing kids especially in a rural area that there are options near home to give them a good start after high school is pivotal.
