Caneyville Fire Department investigating two fires as arson
CANEYVILLE, Ky. – The Caneyville Fire Department is investigating two recent fires, believed to be a result of arson.
According to a report by WNKY News 40 partner K105, the Caneyville and Leitchfield Fire Departments, Grayson County Deputy Caleb Owens, Caneyville Police Chief Brandon Brooks, Grayson Co. Emergency Management Director Carey Sims, and EMS responded to two fires at 3431 Watershed Road on Tuesday evening.
A wood-framed house and a mobile home were leveled in the fires. Both homes did not have occupants or electricity.
Caneyville Fire Chief Brian Pharris said the fires were “definitely arson.”
