Campbell County man arrested on drug charges by Kentucky Fish and Wildlife

PEACH GROVE, Ky. – A Campbell County man is facing multiple charges after authorities say he trespassed onto property with drugs.

According to a uniform citation, Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Law Enforcement was dispatched on Feb. 21 to the 15900 block of AA Highway for a trespassing complaint involving a subject on an ATV.

Authorities say the property owner caught a subject on a trail camera, riding an ATV with a handgun and a rifle.

The citation states officers spoke to the subject, identified as 51-year-old John Lee of California, Kentucky.

Authorities say Lee possessed a handgun and a rifle on the ATV.

According to authorities, Lee had three active warrants for his arrest and was a convicted felon.

Officers say they located methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia in a bag on the ATV.

Lee was arrested and charged with entry on land to shoot/hung/fish/trap without consent, first offense, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, second offense (methamphetamine) and drug paraphernalia – buy/possess.
