Calvin Dockery steps down as head coach of Butler County boys’ basketball after 21 seasons

MORGANTOWN, Ky. – After spending 21 seasons at Butler County High School, Calvin Dockery will be stepping down as the head coach of the Bears boys’ basketball team.

During his years at the helm of the program, Dockery led Butler County to its first 3rd region title and state tournament appearance in 2024.

This year, the Bears picked up their first win over Warren Central since 1987 and finished the season with a winning record.

Dockery said in a post on “X” that coaching this team was his dream job and he’s blessed to have been a part of Butler County basketball.
