California: Another Day, More New Fires

(NBC News) A new day brought new wildfires Thursday in California.

Two new fires erupted overnight east of Los Angeles, destroying several homes and forcing hundreds to flee their homes.

The fires burning near San Bernardino were fueled by winds gusting up to 70 miles pre hour at times, the worst Santa Ana winds in a decade.

“We obviously face huge potential still and a huge threat for the rest of the day,” San Bernardino County Fire Chief Don Trapp warned.
