Burn bans revoked in several counties after conditions improve

BARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Burn bans are now lifted in several counties in south central Kentucky.
Barren County judge-executive Jamie Bewley Byrd, Warren County judge-executive Doug Gorman and Metcalfe County judge-executive Larry Wilson revoked the bans Tuesday in executive orders after sufficient rainfall.
However, the judge executives warn fire hazard season remains in Kentucky through Dec. 15.
Precautions should still be taken when burning outdoors, according to the executive order.
