Burn bans issued in at least 9 Kentucky counties
UPDATE Sept. 8 at 4:32 p.m.
WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Allen County has now been added to the list of active burn bans in Kentucky, according to Allen County Judge-Executive Dennis Harper on Tuesday.
The burn ban is effective immediately.
Officials say the ban will remain in effect until it is lifted by the order being revoked after hazardous conditions have subsided.

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Burn bans are now active in at least eight Kentucky counties as of Friday morning, accordiing to Commonwealth of Kentucky.
This includes the following, according to the official website of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:
Burn bans generally prohibit the outdoor burning of any material, including but not limited to charcoal grilling, bonfires, campfires and burning leaves. In addition, fireworks lighting may also be prohibited depending on the county.
According to Logan County’s executive order, within that county, the only exception is cooking done on grills designed for outdoor use.
Each burn ban is issued by an executive order by a county judge-executive. Violation of a burn ban is a misdemeanor punishable by law, officials say.
This list may grow as increased wildfire conditions persist.
