Build-A-Bed Event aids 40 families

CAVE CITY, Ky. – This past Saturday volunteers at Caverna Elementary School helped build 40 beds for community members that are part of the Barren County, Glasgow and Caverna school districts.

Community members came together to hand deliver, pillows, sheet and of course the handmade beds to these families in need.

“This has truly been an amazing community event,” Caverna Student & Community Social Services Coordinator Terry Smith said. “We’ve partnered with a bunch of different local people in our community, and we built 40 beds for kids in need.”
