Brownsville police chief quits, Sheriff fills in
BROWNSVILLE, Ky. – Brownsville Police Chief Jeff Jewell has officially resigned from his position.
Edmonson County Sheriff Shane Doyle told WNKY he could not give a reason for the resignation.
Doyle called this a very abrupt resignation.
Doyle says the city has asked him to be the interim supervisor for their city department until they can find a more permanent solution for the vacancy.
Jewell did not respond when WNKY contacted him about his resignation.
