Bridge KY gives Halloween costumes to those in need

GLASGOW, Ky. – In Barren County, there’s a nonprofit organization by the name of Bridge KY, a small-scale operation with big hearts behind the scenes.

Today, News 40 swung by to see what they were up to during this holiday season.

Wade Copas, the director of Bridge KY, said in an interview with News 40 that they are “a hub for people who want to help people.” They offer rent assistance, help with utilities, provide a food pantry and at least once a month let those in need look through their clothing warehouse for however many clothes they can fit into a 32-gallon trash bag.

Copas said that everything in-house is donated from the community, from the food to the clothes to the Halloween costumes they’re collecting this year. Up until Halloween day, the nonprofit is taking in donated costumes to make sure everyone in their community doesn’t feel like they have to go without.

If you want to donate or are even interested in volunteering, their address is 603 W. Main St. in Glashow. You may also call them at 270-629-5323.
