Bowling Green’s Harvest Festival returns, draws in thousands
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The fourth annual Harvest Festival was a smashing success with pumpkin drops, games and more!
The festival was free to everyone, allowing local community partners to give back – including Warren County Parks and Recreation, Bowling Green Parks and Recreation, Public Works, Warren County Public Library and several other businesses.
Emily Angel, Bowling Green community engagement coordinator, said, “We hope every year to grow it, to be able to give back to the community, allow for families to come down and not feel the pressure or worry of spending things other than on food.”
One event, the pumpkin drop, involves dropping pumpkins ranging between 50 and 80 pounds from a ladder truck. Families could also shop, bring the kids along and celebrate as a community.
This year, Angel estimates the turnout reached between 8,000 and 10,000 people.
