Bowling Green’s City Clerk named Clerk of the Year

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Bowling Green’s very own City Clerk Ashley Jackson has been named the 2022 Clerk of the Year.

Jackson has been with the city of Bowling Green for nearly two decades. She began in 2006 as an Assistant City Clerk and was promoted to City Clerk in 2018.

The Barren River Municipal Clerks Association nominated her and a committee of past clerks selected Jackson as the statewide winner.

Jackson said it is the highest honor a clerk can receive.

“I love local government. I’ve been surrounded by government all my life and I love it. And I’m so proud and happy to be a part of the city of Bowling Green,” said Jackson.

She was honored at the statewide banquet in Elizabethtown.
