BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green woman has been charged with driving under the influence after crashing near a home.

According to a uniform citation, the Bowling Green Police Department responded just before 2:30 a.m. to the 3200 block of Smallhouse Road for an injury collision.

Police say an automatic crash notification was detected, which caused dispatch to call the subject.

Upon arrival, officers say they discovered a single-vehicle collision.

The driver was later identified as 33-year-old Katy Humphrey of Bowling Green.

Authorities say a female passenger sustained a cut to her leg during the collision. The passenger was transported to TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital for further treatment.

Officers say Humphrey stated they were coming from a local bar and that she had consumed about six shots of alcoholic beverages. According to police, Humphrey said she would take full responsibility for the incident.

Following standard field sobriety testing, Humphrey was taken into custody.

Inside of the vehicle, officers say they located a plastic bag of suspected cocaine, along with cocaine in Humphrey’s possession. Humphrey was transported to the Warren County Regional Jail following medical clearance.

She faces charges of first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree criminal mischief, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or a substance, second offense, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (cocaine).
