Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society giving away barn cats
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cooler weather is here and that means rodents, especially mice, are making their way into people homes, garages and barns.
But the Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society has a solution for people living on two acres or more.
Barn cats.
They are free, come spayed or neutered and fully vaccinated at the Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society.
The shelter has an abundance of cats right now, and every adoption helps.
These animals are oftentimes feral or partially domesticated, but want to live and work the land outside.
Having a barn cat lowers your rodent population and gives a kitty who might not like cuddles and pets a home and a job to do, according to Mallory O’Neil.
These kitties will still need a cat house or barn to protect them from the elements during the cold winter months and fresh water to drink.
