Bowling Green to Mammoth Cave Trail study underway
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The local community has the chance to weigh in on a plan for an off-road bicycle and walking trail connecting Bowling Green to Mammoth Cave National Park.
According to a release by the City-County Planning Commission, the Barren River Area Development District and its consultant team is conducting a study to develop a plan for the dedicated trail.
There are several ways to provide input and feedback, including the following:
- June 4: 4:30-6:30 p.m. at BRADD. This is an open house format meeting with no formal presentation. The meeting will include displays of project-related information and seek feedback on potential trail opportunities and challenges.
- June 5: 5-7 p.m., at Uncle Duncan’s Summer Stroll and Roll Parade and Community Ice Cream Social. The team will be sharing project-related information at the social, including a link to the study’s public survey.
- Survey – Residents are encouraged to complete the survey to have their voices heard on the potential trail from Bowling Green to Mammoth Cave. The study website can be found at www.bgmctrail.com.
