Bowling Green Salvation Army building getting renovated
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A decades-old Bowling Green Salvation Army building is getting upgrades from the city, officials say.
From the outside, you wouldn’t immediately know the building is underdoing a project to address needs in the local area.
However, the building will have spaces for showers, restrooms, a laundry area and more, according to a social media post by Bowling Green major Todd Alcott. The mayor says the project is planned to be “a collaborative, multi-nonprofit intake center” to help the unhoused community.
Alcott called the prospective intake center the Life Navigation Center.
News 40 will continue to follow the latest developments and provide more information as it becomes available.
