Bowling Green police serve search warrant, 5 arrested

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Five people are behind bars after Bowling Green police responded to a residence on Monday.
According to public information officer Ronnie Ward with the Bowling Green Police Department, officers were serving a search warrant on Payne Street and Woodford Avenue, which resulted in multiple arrests.
As a result, police say 71-year-old Alice Carr, 45-year-old Daniel Carr, 50-year-old Sheila Green, 50-year-old Shawn Shephard and 38-year-old Danny Jones were arrested.
According to uniform citations, the search warrant was conducted at 1120 Payne Street after an undercover police investigation. Alice and Daniel Carr, Sheila Green and Shawn Shepherd were located inside the home.
Police say suspected methamphetamine, suspected psilocybin mushrooms, suspected synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia were being trafficked at the home.
During the investigation, Daniel Carr allegedly told police the suspected items found inside a bedroom belonged to him.
Green and Shepherd told police they were not aware of the items found during the investigation.
Alice Carr faces a charge of trafficking in synthetic drugs, first offense, while Daniel Carr is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (greater than or equal to 2 grams of methamphetamine), second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (hallucinogen) and trafficking in synthetic drugs, first offense.
Green and Shephard are charged with trafficking in synthetic drugs, first offense, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine) and drug paraphernalia – buy/possess.
Jones is charged on probation violation for a felony offense.
All five were lodged at the Warren County Regional Jail.
The investigation is ongoing.
