BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – It’s an impressive feat, and local leaders, along with those at the state level, are proud to have the recognition.

For the second year in a row now, the City of Bowling Green has been No. 1 in the country for economic growth of cities with a population of 200,000 or less.

It’s something that the Warren County judge-executive, mayor and governor all attribute to a communal attitude of success.

Gov. Andy Beshear visited Bowling Green to celebrate with local officials and said Bowling Green and Warren County are the fastest growing areas in the state, leaders in the Commonwealth and doing a great job in making Kentucky more than just a fly over state.
