Bowling Green man charged with strangulation, unlawful imprisonment

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing multiple charges, including strangulation.

According to a uniform citation, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office responded Thursday at 7:30 a.m. regarding a reported domestic assault.

Authorities say the victim stated an argument with 19-year-old Christopher Ayala of Bowling Green turned physical, with Ayala allegedly pushing her and causing her to fall off of the porch.

In addition, authorities say she stated that Ayala “wrapped his arms around her and threw her to the ground.”

While on the ground, authorities say the victim stated Ayala obstructed her breathing with his forearm.

Ayala was arrested and remains at the Warren County Regional Jail.

He faces charges of second-degree strangulation (domestic violence related), first-degree unlawful imprisonment and fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), minor injury.
