Bowling Green man charged with sexual abuse

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is now facing a sexual abuse charge.

According to a uniform citation, the Bowling Green Police Department responded Tuesday to the 300 block of Jenkins Drive for a report of sexual abuse where an adult male stated he had been touched inappropriately by another man while asleep on a bench.

Police say based on a description provided by the victim, an officer recognized the suspect as 51-year-old Lucio Diaz of Bowling Green.

Officers say they located Diaz and learned he was on house arrest. Upon a review of his ankle monitor data, police say they learned he was at the pavilion at the time of the incident.

Diaz was taken into custody without incident and charged with first-degree sexual abuse.
