Bowling Green man charged with drug trafficking following traffic stop in Logan County

LOGAN COUNTY, Ky. – A Warren County man is facing multiple charges after authorities say they found several pounds of marijuana during a vehicle search.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Department says a deputy conducted a traffic stop Sunday on U.S. 68 for expired registration plates.
The driver, Astin McQueen, 28, of Bowling Green was found to have a revoked driver’s license from Tennessee, authorities say. Authorities say they detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, and McQueen was detained.
During a probably cause search, authorities say they located two marijuana cigarettes and 11 pounds of marijuana.
McQueen was arrested. He faces charges of no registration plates, no registration receipt, failure of a non-owner to have required insurance, first offense, failure to produce an insurance card, trafficking in marijuana, possession of marijuana, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license and failure to notify an address change to the transportation department.
McQueen was taken to the Logan County Detention Center and has since been released.
