Bowling Green man charged with drug trafficking

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man has been charged in connection with alleged drug trafficking of substances that include fentanyl pills.

The Bowling Green Police Department says it responded Saturday morning to the 300 block of East Main Avenue for a subject with a weapon.

Police say they found a vehicle containing a large amount of marijuana in plain sight.

According to police, a man nearby denied owning the vehicle despite “having the keys on him” and his license inside of the car.

Officers say they found a handgun and rifle inside of the vehicle, along with bags of various drugs, including 99 M30 fentanyl pills. Police say they also located a white Acetaminophen bottle with 6.5 grams of suspected cocaine, dollar bills with suspected cocaine residue on them, a clear jar with marijuana and other paraphernalia.

Michael Allen White, 28, of Bowling Green was arrested.

He faces charges of trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (carfentanil or fentanyl derivatives) (enhancement), first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (greater than or equal to 4 grams of cocaine), trafficking in marijuana (between 8 ounces and 5 pounds), first offense, drug paraphernalia- buy/possess, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

He remains at the Warren County Detention Center.
