Bowling Green man charged in child sex abuse material investigation

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man was arrested Tuesday on charges relating to child sex abuse material.
The Bowling Green Police Department says it received a cyber tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force on Thursday. Police say this information contained images of child sex abuse material and electronic information that led them to William Straut at the 5,000 block of Scottsville Road at Lot 93.
Police say this led to an interview with Straut at his address, where police say they determined Straut had viewed the images on his electronic devices.
Straut was transported to the Warren County Detention Center and faces 20 counts of possessing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under 12 years of age.
Police say they have seized all electronic devices from the residence.
