Bowling Green man allegedly found slumped over steering wheel, facing drug charges in Livingston County

BURNA, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing drug charges in Livingston County.
According to a release, the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office responded to U.S. Highway 60 East in Burna to reports of a man slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle Monday.
At the scene, LCSO deputies made contact with 36-year-old Brian Bender, of Bowling Green.
Bender was determined to be under the influence of an illegal substance, according to the release.
Deputies searched the vehicle and located five pounds of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
Bender was arrested and is charged with driving under the influence, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine greater than two grams), second offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle on a suspended or revoked license, and no insurance.
He was lodged at the Livingston County Jailer’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing.
