Bowling Green home suffers major damage after fire

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A home suffered major damage due to an early morning fire in Bowling Green.

The Bowling Green Fire Department was called out to 828 Hope Street shortly after 5 this morning.

Officials said flames were visible from the rear of the structure.

Two people inside got out safely.

The house is still standing, and the Red Cross is assisting the residents.

The fire department had 7 units and 20 firefighters on scene. No firefighters were injured.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
