Bowling Green Fire Department’s K9 Millie celebrates 3rd birthday
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Bowling Green Fire Department’s accelerant sniffing dog is celebrating a birthday on Thursday.
Millie, the black lab, is turning 3 years old.
The city of Bowling Green posted a photo on Facebook of Millie celebrating her birthday.
According to the Facebook post, for her birthday this year, Millie is asking that everyone make sure they have working smoke detectors in their home.
As WNKY reported last week, Millie has been riding high as of late. Millie was recently named “Top Dog” at an ATF event in Boston where she and her handler beat out 50 K9 teams in a competition consisting of locating different accelerant odors on items, such as clothing, shoes and carpet.
