Bowling Green community agencies hosting block party at H.D. Carpenter Park

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – On Tuesday, Bowling Parks and Recreation, Neighborhood Community Services and the Bowling Green Police Department will be hosting a community block party.

The block party be taking place at the H.D. Carpenter park in Bowling Green and offer free food, music and family fun for everyone who decides to join in. They will be hosting other block parties throughout the summer as well.

One Bowling Green Parks and Rec official says that this is a great way to not only get out and enjoy the park but to explore other parks that might not be in your neighborhood.

“You know, not only the people that, you know, call the neighborhood around Main Avenue in our downtown area home, but other people in our community, you know, come enjoy these block parties with us. Our our plan is to eventually expand these to other parks. It’s not just going to be at Carpenter Park. Like, we will be, you know, for the, for the summer,” said Bowling Green Parks and Rec Recreation division manager Cameron Levis

There will be other block parties hosted throughout the summer on the first Tuesday of each month until September. To learn more about the block parties, click here.
