Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce hosts annual Pearls of Wisdom Luncheon
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The 2026 Pearls of Wisdom annual luncheon brought women in the community together to listen to a key speaker and make connections.
The Pearls of Wisdom luncheon followed the theme of “Ambition without Apology.” The event included a lunch for women from all over the community to talk about confidence and how to boost each other up within their everyday lives. The guest speaker, Tiffany Kelley Jenkins, emphasized the importance of being confident in yourself in order to be confident in the workplace.
She encouraged women to not let fear of failure stop them from achieving goals.
“So the next time you’re sitting in a conference room, or any room for that matter, you have an idea. And that little voice creeps in. Let it sit there if needs to, and then speak anyway,” says Jenkins.
The whole event was full of encouragement a stories told of moments when someone was insecure and how they built themselves up from that moment. The whole event started with the lunch where food was catered by a local Bowling Green company.
Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce Executive Vice President of Partnership Services, Julie Milam, highlighted the importance of an event like this for the Bowling Green community.
“It is necessary for us to pour back into those female leaders and the future generations of female leaders in our community to tell them that even if we encounter setbacks or we get discouraged that there’s always a lesson to learn through that and we can reach for our dreams. Ambition is not a bad word. We can all have the drive and the desire to achieve anything we want,” says Milam.
Next year’s dates for the Pearls of Wisdom luncheon has already been set for the end of July and preparation has already started. To learn more about similar events the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce does for the community visit its website at www.bgchamber.net.
