Bluegrass Train Experience launches in Bowling Green to reach across Kentucky

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The newest Kentucky multi-county tourism project is full steam ahead.

On Tuesday, the Bluegrass Train Experience launched from the Bowling Green Convention and Visitors Office with collaboration across five total communities and tourism offices, all of which boast a historic train presence.

The latest passport program includes Oldham County, Bardstown, Woodford County, McCreary County and Warren County.

“Having Bowling Green included in this trail is a true honor, as it highlights our deep connection to railroading and the significant role it played in shaping our community,” said Jamie Johnson, executive director, Historic RailPark & Train Museum. “This trail connects towns across the state while celebrating the importance of trains in Kentucky’s past, present, and future. It’s a wonderful opportunity for both locals and visitors to immerse themselves in the stories that helped build Kentucky.”
