Black Friday shoppers hit the aisles in Bowling Green

The biggest shopping day of the year, Black Friday is already in full swing this morning, as stores opened their doors last night to eager customers looking for great deals.

As the story goes, Black Friday is named for the shift for retailers from being in the red for profits to the black as the Christmas season approaches.

Last night, hundreds gathered outside of Best Buy awaiting the best deals of the season.

According to the store’s manager, around 80 employees were on the clock last night, calling the Thanksgiving night rush "organized chaos."

Customers began lining up around 9 a.m., nearly 8 hours before the doors opened.

Best Buy opens again today at 8 a.m. Other locations like the Greenwood Mall opened up at 6 a.m.
