BGPR’s annual Pumpkin Trail back up this year

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Thursday was the grand opening of a community favorite, the Pumpkin Trail put on by the Bowling Green Parks & Rec department.

At Preston Miller Park, the department has put out around 400 pumpkins  for the public to enjoy. The pumpkins are made by all kinds of people and organizations in town. It was the department’s way of offering some hands-off fun during COVID, still wanting the community to enjoy the fall season.

This year, the department also threw a trunk or treat event in the park to raise money for the Bowling Green Special Olympics program.

The pumpkin trail will be up till Sunday around the walking trail.
