UPDATE: BGPD investigating school bus-involved collision

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Police Department is investigating a school bus-involved collision.

Police responded to a call at the 700 block of Morgantown Road on Tuesday morning.

According to Bowling Green Police Department public information officer Ronnie Ward, the bus was making a left turn from Loop Street onto Morgantown Road to go toward Walmart.

Ward says the driver of the vehicle involved in the T-bone type collision “ran the light.” Ward says the vehicle was traveling away from Walmart on Morgantown Road toward Russellville Road.

Minor injuries were reported at the scene.

According to police, no children were on the bus at the time of the collision.

The road is now clear.

The investigation is ongoing.
