BGPD arrests man in connection with items stolen from vehicles

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – One man has been arrested in connection with items stolen from vehicles in the area of Cave Mill Station Boulevard in Bowling Green.

The Bowling Green Police Department says it observed Charlie Porter, 36, removing items from vehicles early Monday morning at the scene.

Police say Porter fled but was quickly taken into custody.

After a search of Porter’s vehicle, police say they found multiple stolen items, syringes, stolen checks and drug paraphernalia.

Porter was arrested and taken to the Warren County Detention Center.

He faces charges of theft of content from a vehicle, trafficking in financial information, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), third-degree burglary (related to nearby storage units), second-degree fleeing or evading police on foot, third-degree criminal mischief and possession of drug paraphernalia.
