BGHS welcomes new lacrosse coach

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Clay Hendrick is set to take over the Purples squad next spring as the sport enters its first season being sanctioned officially by the KHSAA.

Hendrick is a BGHS alum and is involved with other Purple athletic programs including the junior high football team and the high school’s swim team.

He believes that the expectations that come with this position and school are important, and he looks forward to getting things started soon.

“ Obviously, when you put on that purple and gold jersey, you know, the expectations are to win, so that’s something I’m aware of from a player and coach’s standpoint,” Hendrick said. “That’s something we’re going to continue to embrace, but also getting that feeling of a brotherhood aspect and team building as well. Getting the community involved and just make sure it’s a good sense all around for everybody.”
