BGHS earns Bronze Recognition on AP Honor Roll

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green High School is being recognized on the 2024 AP School Honor Roll.

According to the Bowling Green Independent School District, key metrics for this recognition include the school’s success with encouraging students to take part in AP courses, earning college credit and supporting career readiness through AP courses.

BGISD stated the following regarding the achievement:

  • 43% of the BGHS graduating Class of 2024 took at least one AP exam during high school.
  • 32% of the graduating class achieved a score of three or higher on at least one AP Exam.
  • 13% of BGHS graduates took five or more AP exams, including at least one in 9th or 10th grade.

The district said College Board’s Advanced Placement Program allows students to pursue college-level studies with the opportunity to earn college credit, advanced placement or both while in high school.

Twenty advanced placement courses are currently available at Bowling Green High School.
