BGFD hosts Recruit Class Graduation for 2026 class of firefighters

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Fire Department hosted its annual recruit class graduation on Friday, welcoming the newest group of firefighters to the team.

11 new firefighters were sworn in, as they begin their journey saving the community.

Four awards were also handed out to those who excelled academically, in fitness and as a servant leader in their community.

This is the first class to graduate from the new Safety Training Center, which Chief Justin Brooks says is going to be a game changer for this and future groups to come.

“I couldn’t think of a better group of men to kick off a new facility, a new resource. They’re going to take it to the next level. This training center takes it to a new level. The support found and the resources that we have. Second to none. This recruit class for us is second to none,” he says.

Congratulations to Adam Clapp, Dominique Compton, Logan Cranor (Fitness Award – Most Improved recipient), Dalton Daniels, James Johnston, Marshall Miller (Academic Excellence Award recipient), Dakota Nickel (Servant Leader Award recipient), Dane Parsley, Jon Smith (Fitness Award – Best Overall recipient), Trace Taylor and Luke York on joining the Bowling Green Fire Department!
