Beshear closing state office buildings early due to inclement weather
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Gov. Andy Beshear closed all executive branch state office buildings early Tuesday due to weather conditions, officials say.
Buildings closed beginning at noon Central Standard Time, according to a post on X by the Team Kentucky Personnel Cabinet. Beshear stated on social media Tuesday morning that damaging winds have already hit Kentucky.
However, officials say executive branch agencies will continue to provide services to citizens of Commonwealth.
Essential employees who are designated for mandatory operations, as well as those able to work remotely, will continue to provide service, according to officials.
