Bauer, Schaefer, and Weihe Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — WKU Volleyball collected three more individual accolades on Tuesday with the College Sports Communicators announcing their Academic All-District Team selections. Sophomore middle hitter

Callie Bauer each earned CSC Academic All-District Team honors.

To be considered for CSC’s Academic All-District Teams, the athlete must be at least an academic sophomore and carry a 3.50 GPA or higher.

Tuesday’s announcement marks Bauer and Schaefer’s second time being named to the Academic All-District Team while this is Weihe’s first.

Bauer carried a 3.85 GPA as a Marketing major and helped lead the Hilltoppers to a 28-7 record while finishing second in the country in total assists with 1,387. She also sits just outside the top 10 in single season assists at 11th.

Bauer was also selected as a CSC Academic All-American finalist and will move on to the national ballot. CSC Academic All-American teams will be announced on January 14, 2025.

Schaefer carried a 3.69 GPA as a Nursing major and anchored WKU’s back row with a team high 398 digs and surpassed the 1,000 career dig mark against Sam Houston State on November 8.

Weihe rounds out WKU’s members on the CSC Academic All-District Team carrying a 3.78 GPA as a Marketing major. She finished the season with 64 kills and a .288 hitting percentage while also recording 48 total blocks.
