Bars close, restaurant capacity at 25% due to COVID-19

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Local bars and restaurants are feeling the impact of the governor’s new orders for capacity changes and closures.

Beginning Tuesday, all bars in the state are closed under Beshear’s new orders and interior dining at restaurants must be at 25% capacity.

The changes are in response to the growing COVID-19 numbers in the state.

These closures are having a significant impact on local businesses and their workers.

According to Sarah Young, a server at Teresa’s Restaurant in Bowling Green, she’s already making significantly less money than normal.

If all goes well, bars are currently set to re-open in two weeks with strict restrictions.
