Barren County Schools announces Teachers of the Year

BARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Barren County Schools has announced its 2023-24 Teachers of the Year.
Each Teacher of the Year is selected after administrators and colleagues nominate teachers for 11 different categories. The district team then reviews all nominations and chooses a winner for each category.
The district says the selected teachers demonstrated excellence in the classroom through their instruction, rapport with students and commitment to continual growth.
Superintendent Bo Matthews said, “We applaud these teachers for the exemplary work they do each day in their classrooms. They equip students with the skills they need for future success and instill a love of learning that will last a lifetime.”
Winners are submitted to Western Kentucky University to be considered for their Distinguished Educator awards. The overall winners for elementary, middle and high school teacher of the year will receive recognition at Campbellsville University’s Excellence in Teaching awards program on May 11.
