Barren County Detention Center announcing they now have no known cases of COVID-19
GLASGOW, Ky. – This week the Barren County Detention Center announced they currently have no known cases of COVID-19 in their facility.
On September 19th, the detention center reported 73 active cases, which included inmates and staff.
According to a press release this week, they said through hard work and coordination with multiple agencies they were able to execute a plan to quickly care for those that were sick and safeguard in the future.
Medical staff there will continue to conduct rapid tests on any inmate or staff displaying symptoms.
According to the release, the detention center is open for visitation from 9 AM to 1 PM Monday through Saturday.
Community work detail resumed Monday.
