Barren County declares today Live Like Alan Wells Day
BARREN COUNTY, Ky.- Friday marks the proclamation of “Live Like Alan Wells Day” in Barren County, celebrating the extraordinary impact of Alan Wells.
Dozens of people gathered to honor this well-known, bright-eyed individual who has been a pillar in every environment he enters. His ability to uplift everyone he encounters is just one way he inspires the community. On his birthday, Barren County decided to show Alan Wells the same love and admiration he so generously gives.
Alan Wells, affectionately recognized as a “hometown hero,” expressed his gratitude: “I got thousands of friends and my boss is here, and everybody’s around me and everybody always loves me inside my heart, and I am a hometown hero.”
His brother, Jeff Wells, praised Alan’s gift of softening hearts and reminding everyone of life’s true values.
“He kind of snaps us out of our trance and reminds us that it’s not about what we have, but who we have,” Jeff Wells said.
The City of Glasgow encourages everyone to embrace the qualities Alan Wells embodies and take a page out of his book today.
