The Kentucky State Police was first notified Tuesday of the pursuit of a stolen vehicle that originated in Barren County.
According to authorities, the pursuit then entered Hardin County, when they say they learned Barren County constable Joseph Ramey, 29, was involved in the pursuit.
KSP says Ramey was driving a Honda Odyssey van with green and amber emergency lights and a “five-point star” with “Kentucky constable” written on the side.
State troopers say during the pursuit, they observed Ramey drive recklessly while speeding, nearly striking the cruiser of multiple law enforcement officers involved.
