Barren County approved for funding for livestock facility at high school

BARREN COUNTY, Ky. – The Kentucky Agricultural Development Board has approved $5.8 million for agricultural diversification and rural development projects across Kentucky.

Of these projects, Barren County is receiving as much as $178,753 for the construction of a livestock facility at local high school, according to the Kentucky Department of Agriculture.

This will join Temple Hill Lion’s Club approval of up to $46,250 in Barren County funds to implement improvements to the fairgrounds.

An expected completion date for these projects has not yet been released. News 40 will continue to follow the latest details as they become available.
