Auburn man arrested following traffic stop

AUBURN, Ky. – An Auburn man is facing multiple charges after authorities say they located illegal drugs during a traffic stop.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Department says it stopped a vehicle on North College Street in Auburn on Thursday after noticing a cracked driver’s side windshield.
Authorities say they noted signs of “criminal behavior” while investigating the driver, Timothy Robertson, 27, of Russellville, and a front seat passenger, identified as Marvin McKinney, 42, of Auburn, and requested a K-9 deputy to the scene.
According to authorities, the K-9 gave a positive detection for illegal narcotics in the vehicle. During a search of McKinney’s person, authorities say they found over 45 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
McKinney was arrested and faces charges of possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, second offense (methamphetamine) and first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (2 grams or greater of methamphetamine). Robertson was given a traffic citation.
McKinney remains in the Logan County Detention Center.
